Fear & Greed Alert

1. Overview

Fear & Greed Alert (“App”) is an information service that visually displays the Fear & Greed Index data provided by Alternative.me (Crypto) and CNN Business (S&P 500), real-time market prices via CoinGecko and Finnhub, and provides customizable push notification alerts based on market sentiment changes. The App is available as an iOS/Android application and widget.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

3. Account Registration and Management

3.1 Account Creation

• Users may create an account through third-party social login providers (Google, Apple).
• Users must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
• Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.

3.2 Social Login

• When using Google or Apple social login, the App receives only the minimum information necessary for authentication (email address and unique identifier).
• Social login is subject to the respective third-party provider’s terms of service and privacy policies.

3.3 Account Deletion

• Users may permanently delete their account at any time through the App.
• Upon account deletion, all associated data (alert settings, device registrations, notification history, and authentication tokens) will be permanently and irreversibly deleted.
• Account deletion is processed immediately and cannot be undone.

4. Terms of Use

4.1 Eligibility

• This App is intended for users aged 14 and older.
• Users must comply with all applicable laws when using the App.

4.2 Permitted Use

• The App may only be used for personal, non-commercial purposes.
• Information provided by the App should be used for reference purposes only.

4.3 Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract the source code
• Circumventing or disabling security features of the App
• Using the App for any illegal activities
• Imposing excessive load on App servers
• Sharing, transferring, or selling your account to third parties
• Attempting to access other users’ accounts or data without authorization

5. Push Notifications and Alert Services

5.1 Alert Settings

• Users may configure custom alerts based on Fear & Greed Index thresholds.
• Alerts are triggered when the index reaches user-defined values.
• Alert delivery depends on network conditions, device settings, and third-party service availability, and may be delayed or missed.

5.2 Push Notifications

• The App uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver push notifications to registered devices.
• Users must register their device and enable push notification permissions to receive alerts.
• Users may unregister devices or disable notifications at any time.
• We do not guarantee the delivery, timeliness, or accuracy of push notifications.

5.3 Device Management

• Users may register multiple devices to receive push notifications.
• Device tokens that become invalid will be automatically removed from the system.

6. Service Plans

6.1 Free Plan

• The App is currently provided free of charge.
• Free plan users may create up to 1 alert setting.
• The free plan includes push notification functionality.

6.2 Future Plan Changes

• We may introduce paid plans or modify existing plan features in the future.
• Any changes to service plans will be communicated to users with reasonable prior notice.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 App Ownership

All intellectual property rights in the App and related content (design, code, graphics, etc.) belong to the developer.

7.2 Third-Party Data

Crypto Fear & Greed Index data is provided by Alternative.me. S&P 500 Fear & Greed Index data is sourced from CNN Business. Cryptocurrency price data is provided by CoinGecko. S&P 500 price data is provided by Finnhub. The copyright of such data belongs to the respective original providers, and this App only displays the data.

The App integrates with the following third-party services:

• The S&P 500 Fear & Greed Index should NOT be used as the sole basis for investment decisions.
• The developer assumes no responsibility for investment decisions made based on information provided by the App.
• This service provides information only, not financial advice.
• Please consult with a qualified financial professional before making any investment decisions.

• This service is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with CNN or Warner Bros. Discovery in any way.
• S&P 500 Fear & Greed Index data is sourced from CNN Business (production.dataviz.cnn.io).
• The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the S&P 500 Fear & Greed Index data is not guaranteed.
• CNN Business data is retrieved through an unofficial API. Data availability may be discontinued, changed, or restricted without notice.
• 본 서비스는 CNN 또는 Warner Bros. Discovery와 어떠한 제휴, 보증, 관련도 없습니다.
• S&P 500 공포탐욕지수 데이터는 CNN Business(production.dataviz.cnn.io)에서 제공됩니다.
• S&P 500 공포탐욕지수 데이터의 정확성, 완전성 또는 적시성은 보장되지 않습니다.

9.3 Data Accuracy

• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data displayed in the App.
• We are not responsible for any delays, errors, or omissions in data delivery.

9.4 Service Availability

• We do not guarantee continuous availability of the App or push notification services.
• We may modify, suspend, or terminate the App without prior notice.
• Push notifications may be delayed or fail due to network conditions, device settings, or third-party service issues.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of the App.
• We are not liable for data loss, loss of profits, business interruption, or similar damages.
• We are not liable for any losses resulting from missed, delayed, or inaccurate push notifications.
• We are not liable for any issues arising from third-party service outages or changes.

12. Changes to Terms

• These Terms may be changed without prior notice.
• Modified Terms become effective upon posting within the App or on related websites.
• Continued use of the App after changes to the Terms constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Korea.
